Make your own Patchwork pincushion

This beautiful star shaped pincushion is a good introduction to English Pieced Patchwork.  

It is quick and satisfying project to work on and finish over a few days. 

Everything that you need apart from scissors is in the kit so that you don’t have to run around finding things before you can start.

There are simple printed instructions and also a downloadable PDF with step by step photos.

The fabrics are reclaimed from the sample books of a Scottish mill, now closed, which produced luxury textiles for the Italian market.  They are fine wools and wool/silk mixes, beautiful to work with.

The finished pincushion is approximately 7cm diameter.

You can choose between wool stuffing and ground walnut shell stuffing.  Only the wool stuffing can be sent outside the UK.

Each kit contains

• 5 squares of fine tweed fabric
• Vintage shell button
• Patchwork templates.
• Tacking thread
• Sewing thread
• Pins
• Needle
