Threads
These threads are all a wool/silk blend that is suitable for crewel work, darning and general embroidery. The strands cannot be separated.
Plants dyes differ in lightfastness and I have given a guide to individual colours on the listing. As a general guide, purples and pinks are naturally less light fast than yellows and oranges. The addition of iron tends to make colours more light fast.
All the threads have been well mordanted, cured and rinsed, but there may still be some shedding of colour onto light coloured fabrics. If you are using on a pale fabric I would test for wash fastness first.
If you must wash them, please use cold water. Keep out of direct light for the longest lasting colour.
